Kori Bustard

Kori Bustard
The Kori Bustard is found throughout Southern Africa. It is quite a large bird and is mostly grey and brown in colour with a white chest. It has a large head and yellow legs. They weigh about 13+ kg and become 135cm. As Kori Bustards are large birds, they spend most of their time on the ground and avoid flying if possible. Kori Bustards are omnivores and will eat insects, lizards, chameleons, snakes, seeds, berries, roots, bulbs, flowers, wild melons and green leaves. (Gompou - Ardeotis kori)
