Small-spotted Genet

Small-spotted Genet in a tree
These interesting animals are related to cats, but more closely related to Mongooses. They're nocturnal and mostly solitary. They have extremely long tails of 1x to 1.5x their body lenght. This helps for balance when climbing trees. Weight is around 1.5-2.6kg.
Taken at Nossob, Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park
